MIAMI, April 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) today announced it has named Ivette Ruiz Griffiths as Vice President-Corporate Controller. Ms. Griffiths will be responsible for financial reporting and internal controls at the corporate level, focusing on enhancing existing systems and increasing efficiency.

Ms. Griffiths has been Director of Finance for MasTec's Broadband Group since December of 1999, and previously was involved in mergers and acquisitions at MasTec. Prior to joining MasTec in 1997, Ms. Griffiths was a senior auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). Ms. Griffiths succeeds Arlene Vargas who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
